New Year and new stories to tell
Fortunately, Slow Travel rolled out as a 'greenwash' slogan seems to have peaked. Thanks goodness for that.
I don't really believe that you engage in slow travel by travelling thousands of miles by plane then hire a car so as to spend a week hanging around someone else's market place. Slow travel, in my book, is as much about the journey as the destination. The approach I am advocating is to make the best of available public transport to discover destinations. In some cases, I'll feature cycling and walking trips too as these are equally important. And, what is more the Welsh Marches and Mid Wales are two good places to do just that.
So, after a three year break I have decided to start researching again so as to provide useful information and tips for those who like to enjoy places at a more dignified pace whether that be on the train, by bus, cycle or best of all walking. I'll be back soon to feature a new Craven Arms to Llanwrtyd Wells bus service. I know, these are two most unlikely towns to be linked by bus. All will be explained.
In the meantime, avoid travel for a few days until the weather is kinder.
Best Wishes
